Good Graphic Design Wins!
Mary Sexton of Good Graphic Design in Tiverton Rhode Island has been honored with an American Graphic Design Award for excellence in communication and graphic design from Graphic Design USA magazine. Winning designs were selected from more than 10,000 national entries. The winning entry was the 40th Anniversary annual report Mary designed for Big Sisters of Rhode Island, a non-profit organization committed to having a positive impact on the lives of girls at-risk.
Upon notification of her award Mary commented, “I enjoyed producing this piece for such a worthy cause. The fact that it was recognized by one of our industry’s most respected publications is icing on the cake.”
The American Graphic Design Awards honor outstanding new work of all kinds in 23 categories from print and packaging to internet and interactive design. Thousands of creative professionals have shared their vision and been recognized as design’s best and brightest in this national design competition. It is open to everyone in the graphic arts community–graphic design firms, advertising agencies, in-house corporate and institutional designers, publishers and other media. Graphic Design USA has been the news magazine for graphic designers and other creative professionals since 1963.
Mary Sexton has over 20 years of experience developing design solutions for a wide range of clients. She has practiced her trade in Tiverton since moving here in 2005. Logos, printed materials, and websites are just a few of the projects she produces from concept development to final implementation.
Among Good Graphic Design’s diverse client list is Feedwater Solutions, Inc., International Talent Showcase, Speaking Mastery, Advanced Laser Engraving, Paradox Capital, the Westport Art Group, and the Tiverton Arts Council.
After working with Mary on a recent branding project for Paradise Cleaning and Restoration of Middletown, Leslie Lindeman, a Tiverton based marketing consultant, provided this recommendation, “I find Mary extremely creative and easy to work with, an unusual and welcome combination.”
GGD Designs Logo, Ads and Brochure for South Coast Artists
Good Graphic Design was selected to design the logo, brochure, postcards, posters, banners and ads for the South Coast Artists Open Studio Tour 2009. The SCA Open Studio Tour has been an area event for seven years. In 2009, the Tour expanded to two weekends, one in July and one in August.
“The challenge was to design materials that would showcase the diverse range of artists and mediums, as well as highlight the two weekends and which artists would be participating on which weekend”, stated Ms. Sexton. “We also needed to include numerous sponsors’ logos!”
